One of the great strengths of the Port of Seville is its multi-modal activity. There are excellent connections between vessels, trains and road transport through its 850 hectares, which are part of the publicly-owned port area and serve to increase the competitiveness of goods transport.
It has a railway circuit that runs around the perimeter of the Port to facilitate land transport between the maritime terminals and the public docks. It is connected to the main routes through the south of the peninsula and has a railway terminal on the container dock that can handle trains up to 750 metres long.
The Port of Seville gives access to a hinterland of 200 kilometres and links with the main transport hubs of the region, with regular maritime and railway transport, to distribute goods through the main routes that link up to the whole world.
Serviport Andalucía is a public company part owned by the Port Authority of Seville which has over 20 years’ experience in the fields of telecommunications, IT, engineering and the application of ITC for maritime and port use.
